Location is perfect for walking tours and exploring the historic district. The pool area felt quite small and crowded. Staff were friendly and the bar had great cocktails for happy hour.

The location was perfect, just steps away from local attractions and great for walking tours. Check-in was slow, and the room was dated with a few maintenance issues. Happy hour at the bar was a nice touch, but the valet service felt overpriced for what you get.

A last-minute deal led to a room with a lovely view of the illuminated church nearby, and the location was ideal for walking everywhere. The lobby had unique decor, and the AC was a savior in the heat. the room had its quirks: a noisy ambiance, outdated furniture, and a bathtub requiring extra caution. The staff was friendly and responsive, even providing a wheelchair when needed. While the bathroom had its flaws, the bed was comfortable, which made the experience memorable despite some rough edges. Would consider returning for the great value and location.

The amenities in the room are a bit lacking.

The location is central and makes it easy to explore Savannah.
The room was not well-kept, with dirty carpets and shower tiles. We also faced issues with check-in and dirty towels in our new room.

Outstanding staff, outstanding facilities with a very helpful front desk who provided great insights on local attractions and an excellent breakfast that featured beautifully prepared dishes.
Nothing, all excellent.

I had an amazing time staying in this historic hotel that puts you steps away from the heart of Savannah's attractions like Forsyth Park, only a 10-minute stroll away, and the vibrant eateries around every corner, making it super convenient for discovering local culture and cuisine, plus the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with tips on where to go, but there were some minor housekeeping issues that could use improvement.

We recently stayed at The DeSoto and had a mixed experience. we appreciated the spacious room with comfortable beds. The great location was also a plus, making it convenient to explore the area. there were several areas in need of improvement. The bathroom lighting was faulty and despite reporting it, no one came to fix it. The faucets in the bathroom and shower were not well-maintained, showing signs of build-up that was off-putting. the lack of refrigerator in the room was inconvenient, especially for a diabetic guest needing to store medication. Housekeeping was another letdown. They did not attend to our room promptly, and we had to repeatedly request for fresh towels and basic amenities. The maintenance issues, like a loose towel rack and a malfunctioning light, were disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. the cafe downstairs served delicious breakfast, adding a pleasant touch to our stay. The hotel's overall aesthetic and ambiance were lovely, with a nice view from the room.

Clean rooms and comfy beds, perfect for a good night's rest. The staff was friendly, always there to help when we needed something.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for.

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed that provided a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, the thermostat didn’t work, and I had to rely on dusty fans for cooling. There were noise issues; the loud sounds from next door interrupted our peace. The bathroom sink was clogged, which was inconvenient. Staff interactions varied, with some being friendly and others seeming unprofessional when I reported issues. While the location was excellent and central, I could’ve done without the smell from the recycling plant that drifted in through the AC vent.

Plus, the rude coffee shop staff and uncomfortable beds made it all the more frustrating. Not what we expected at all.

The hotel was elegant and clean, with comfortable beds that made it easy to relax. Staff were generally welcoming, especially at the coffee shop, and valet service was reliable. the price hike for Labor Day felt unjustified. Parking wasn’t included despite the $250 nightly rate, putting guests in a bind. Staff attitudes varied; some seemed disengaged. The balcony room had safety issues, lacking proper furniture. Housekeeping responsiveness was lacking, and I still await a refund for a double charge. This hotel has potential, but attention to these details is crucial for a true 4-star experience.

The key location of the accommodation allowed us to explore the historical city conveniently. The upgraded room on the 9th floor offered a breathtaking view of the city and Liberty Bridge. The staff's friendliness and efficient valet service added to our enjoyable stay.
There were issues with housekeeping and communication. We experienced a lack of internet and maid service for three days, and the front desk didn't inform us about requesting daily maid service.

The dinner in the hotel restaurant was outstanding! We were tempted to go out, but the menu was too good to resist. The staff, especially Andrew, went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. The lobby was beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city.
Our room fell short of expectations. The cleanliness left much to be desired, and the air conditioning was not as effective as we had hoped.

i had a pleasant stay at Desoto. the hotel is old from the outside but renovated on the inside. the location is excellent, within walking distance to many restaurants. the staff, particularly Paulina at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful. the beds were comfortable, and the live music and hotel patio added to the enjoyable experience. the pool looked nice, and the coffee shop in the lobby was great. overall, a positive experience.
All was perfect! 😊

The lively dining room with Lowcountry sourced dishes was a treat. The eclectic boutiques and art scene kept me entertained. The valet staff was excellent.
Nothing like unexpected salsa in the lobby and dark hallways! .

I chose Desoto for its prime location near Forsyth Park. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the exclusive agreement with JSAV for A/V needs. , the 1540 Room offered a chef-inspired dining experience with hyper fresh local ingredients, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Water pipe issue, no hot water. Frustrating lack of information.

The view from the 9th floor was stunning, overlooking the bridge and downtown. The walk-in shower with full-size sliding doors was a treat, and the pillows were top-notch. The friendly staff promptly replaced the bottom sheet on my bed with a small hole. Despite minor issues, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.
